I was born on Christmas eve 1978 in Roermond, in the south of the Netherlands. After sixteen years of growing up in a very rural area, me and my family moved up north to the city of Utrecht where I finished high school.
At age eighteen I moved to Amsterdam where I found my drive to make films. Amsterdam inspired me to make stories and photography.
After a short period on the film academy in Amsterdam I moved to New York City and fell in love with filmmaking. New York was even more inspiring to me then Amsterdam, I saw there was so much to do, to learn and to achieve, I didn’t know where to start.
Back in Amsterdam I started working for the Jewish broadcaster where I was given carte-blanche to make a youth program.
The series was the best viewed program on the jewish broadcaster and was sold to several countries worldwide, now the series are a permanent part of the jewish historical museum in Amsterdam where it is being shown in the childrens section.
After that I’ve done anything from television, documentary, videoclips, art and fiction.Fiction is what I fell in love with and sort of lost along the way, now I want it back. This is my goal in the Rutger Hauer filmfactory.
