SUSAN KORDA
creative team sessions


Susan Korda directed and produced the award-winning documentaries Vienna is Different and One of Us and was recently a producer on William Kunstler: Disturbing the Universe. She has worked as an editor and story consultant in the U.S., Europe and South Africa.  Most notably she edited the academy award nominated documentary For All Mankind and was editor and creative collaborator on Sandi Du Bowski’s Trembling Before G-d. As a writer and story consultant she worked with, amongst others, Alan Berliner on The Sweetest Sound and Pearl Gluck on Divan.
Korda lives in New York City and is currently working on her feature film Mazel, to be shot in Vienna, Austria.  

Korda taught at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts for 10 years and the Internationale Filmschule in Cologne, Germany for 5 years.  She has conducted workshops at the Binger Filmlab in Amsterdam, was a Visiting Artist at Cooper Union, NYC and currently teaches at Columbia University. Korda travels extensively with a master class lecture on editing called Kill Your Darlings.
