Hans de Weers is the producer / managing director of Eyeworks Film & TV Drama. After a prolific career, which took him from the music industry (CBS Records) to the theatre (general manager Orkater) and events (touring festival Boulevard of Broken Dreams) he made the switch to film. He worked as line producer for First Floor Features, where he was responsible for amongst others The Last Island and De noorderlingen.
Together with Hans de Wolf he founded the TV and Theatre production company Bergen in 1991. Their biggest success was Antonia's Line (which won the Oscar for Best Foreign Film).

In 1997 Hans founded Egmond Film and Television, where he produced Nynke (Dutch entry for the Academy Awards and winner of several international awards), Bluebird (Crystal Bear, Berlin) and several other films and TV dramas, as well as international co-productions such as Oliver Stone's Alexander, Renny Harlin's Mindhunters and the Cirque de Soleil film Alegria. Hans is currently overseeing numerous projects, including the adaptation of the Dutch bestseller Komt een vrouw bij de dokter.
